After 14 years in the business, 75 awesome conferences and 1 global pandemic, it was time for Codecamp to take the next step.
Back in 2008, Codecamp began with a dream of building a strong IT community in Romania and so we did, first in Iasi, the hometown of Codecamp, then in Cluj, Timisoara, Bucharest and even across the border in the lovely Chisinau. Our recipe for success was simple: bring together awesome speakers, leading companies and software development geeks and let the ideas spark.
Fast forward in 2020, with the challenges set forward by Covid, it was time for a new beginning for Codecamp, so we set off to conquer the whole world! With our online conferences we have reached people on 5 continents and 97 countries, bringing them content they would pay for, for free.
If you know us, then you know that we are always looking for the next challenge, so in true Codecamp fashion, we asked ourselves: what happens next? And so, Codecamp_Festival was born!
What is Codecamp_Festival you ask? Well, it is the event of our dreams, a complete festival experience, but instead of bands playing, you have awesome talks held by true superhero speakers.
All of this will take place on May 19th 2022, at Face Convention Center in Bucharest. Being a festival, we will have 4 stages in total: our main stage, the Woodsock stage, will host the day’s keynotes besides all the other remarkable talks, the NDR Portal Stage will be dedicated to artificial intelligence and machine learning. The festival will be completed by the Firestarter and Factory stages.
The festival feeling will be completed by an awesome lounge and relaxation area, in a forest, where you can unwind and enjoy a drink (what kind of festival would it be if we didn’t have alcohol), a coffee or something to eat from the mouth-watering food trucks on the premises.
Ok, so you have all the festival add-ons, but a festival is not a festival without music you’ll say. We’ve got you covered! The day will end with an amazing concert, where we can all dance, sing and have a shot to celebrate the first edition of Codecamp_Festival. The band is still a surprise, but trust us, it’s going to be a night to remember.
